Bored with ponytails when it comes to your workout hairstyle? Give your style and motivation a boost with these five gym-inspired looks!
Messy bun
Your hair is going to get messy, there's no escaping it, so why not make those flyaways part of your style? A high messy bun secured with bobby pins is easy, elegant and practical for floor work.
Boxer braids
Ideal for keeping unruly hair under control, this look involves two tight French (or Dutch) braids down each side of the head. Use Infinium Pure hairspray for natural-looking hold that's also hypoallergenic.
Rope braid
Show your creativity and stand out from the rest of your exercise class with a rope braid. Divide hair into two sections, twist each one in opposite directions then wrap them both around one-another. Class dismissed!
Half-up hair
Show off your mid-to-long-length hair with a half-up style, either in a low bun, ponytail or braid. It keeps the hair away from the front of your face while allowing the rest to cascade down your back.
Braided chignon
If buns often come loose when you're exercising, try a neater version like a braided chignon. Start the braid where you want the bun to be positioned, then wrap it around itself tightly and secure with an elastic (or a scrunchie - they cause less damage to the hair) and bobby pins where needed.
