If our hair trend sensors are correct, 2017 is all about color. Your hair color is your new make-up! Let's look at why we'll be embracing a whole new palette of shades this year...
Hair color is the new make-up
Just as we enjoy playing and experimenting with different make-up looks, from cat eyes to barely-there coverage or a bold lip, now we can do the same with our hair color. There are so many different shades available; it'd be a shame not to try them out!
The natural hair color trend
Don't think that changing your hair color has to be something drastic and immediately obvious. Natural shades are increasingly popular, such as Hailey Baldwin's nude beige created through a collaboration between the French fashion designer Vanessa Bruno and the INOA hair color collection by L'Oréal Professionnel.
Techniques such as the new "foilyage" – a combination of balayage plus foils – can also help you achieve subtle, natural-looking sunkissed hair. Pastel is still a top hair trend.
Natural shades might be in, but pastel most certainly isn't out! Perfect for the summer and festival season, inspiring looks are all over Instagram, such as it-girl Irene Kim's rainbow of shades with colors that we're hankering after too...
Color doesn't mean commitment!
Updating your hair color can be as simple as trying a new make-up look, thanks to semi-permanent hair color collections like Dia Richesse Hi-Visibility, a tone-one-tone, ammonia-free hair color that gradually fades out, so you don't have to worry about roots showing.
