Ready for the latest must-try hair trend? Introducing "glass hair", seen on a multitude of celebrities, from social media stars to Hollywood A-listers. So, what is it, should you try it, and how can you get the look? All the answers, here!
Smashing style: glass hair
Think hair that falls just at the shoulder level, or a little below, with ultra blunt ends and – most importantly – a glossy finish that's so shiny you can almost see your reflection in it. Most of the glass hair looks we've seen involve dark hair, but there's no reason you couldn't do your own take on the trend with a lighter shade.
Should I try glass hair?
A long glossy bob is a great way to shorten the appearance of a long face shape, and can help to thin a rounded or heart-shaped face. However, this style is more difficult to achieve on naturally thick and/or curly hair. Inversely, be careful if your hair naturally thin and limp, as flattening it further may just end up making it look greasy.
How to get the glass hair look
First, you need the right haircut. Ask your stylist for a blunt long bob (great for tidying any split ends). When styling at home, start by using a shampoo and conditioner from the Mythic Oil haircare collection (great for infusing a healthy shine and swish!), then apply a serum to the lengths and ends. After drying straight using a concentrator on your blowdryer, finish with a light spritz of Shower Shine hairspray from Wet Domination for extra gloss.
