We sit down with the fashion designer Vanessa Bruno to find out more about the chic Parisian designer, who has recently collaborated with L'Oréal Professionnel to create a collection of 12 new shades for the INOA hair color range.
So Vanessa, how important is hair color in your life?
As a fashion designer, color is really important for me! I feel like hair color can define your whole personality. One day I got an advice from a friend to go back to my "baby blond". That's what I did it and now people don't even guess that it's not my natural color. For me, a good hair color is the one that looks natural on you! People say that my blond hair is my signature.
Did you enjoy creating the new INOA Collection with L'Oréal Professionnel?
Yes! It was very exciting and thrilling to create this 2017 Spring Summer INOA collection. Hair is crucial in a woman's look and it's like a living canvas so I really thought of the most subtle and fashionable colors that I would love to wear.
What inspired you? How did you choose the shades of the new INOA S/S 17 collection?
I found inspiration in natural colors: subtle shades that look like sand, earth, or even the wood color! My main objective was to create natural hair color, that's why I chose 12 shades of natural blond and copper to fit every skin tone and highlight the hair. At the end of the day, hair color is like fashion! You can define your clothes, your make-up, your look according to your hair each season.
What is your favorite tone of the Spring Summer 17 INOA color collection?
My favorite color is Hailey [Baldwin]'s nude beige. It has that kind of 'no color, color' effect that I love – it's effortless, natural and so flattering. What makes it so special is that mix of warm and cold tones, intertwined beautifully.
What do the Vanessa Bruno and the L'Oréal Professionnel women have in common?
Good question! I think they have many things in common. First, both are demanding women who are looking for quality, expertise and for products that last. Second, they are connected and on the pulse of fashion, always curious to discover new trends. And last but not least: I'd say they are elegant, but not too sophisticated. Their beauty is not the flashy type, but more natural and casual chic with an irresistible touch of Frenchness!
Thanks Vanessa, we can't wait to try out the new INOA colors for ourselves!
