It goes around and it comes around. And this time we're full beam on the 90's and crimping is back. All the rage way back when, it's back with extra kinks.
To crimp or not to crimp
That might be the question – but the answer is that they have all tried it: Beyonce, Tyra Banks and Nicki Minaj... even Katy Perry went for a bright blue crimp recently. So how does it work? Rather than being curled, hair is "bent" into teeny tiny wavelets using a "crimping" tool. Resembling a straightening iron, with extra kinks and ridges, it folds or bends the hair in a series of mini waves.
Keep the 'crimp
But how on earth will all those little waves hold? For extra firm hold, add L'Oréal Professionnel TecniArt Full Volume Extra Mousse before crimping. Still not sure? Add on a layer of L'Oréal Professionnel Infinium Pure's Natural Finish Hairspray to finish the look and add in yet more natural-looking hold. Prefer a more natural look? Try the perm without the perm, also known as the semi-permanent L'Oréal Professionnel Beach Waves!
