The models on the spring-summer 2016 runways gave us serious volume envy with their crimped, curled, wavy, and larger-than-life hairstyles. Below are five of our favorites:
Voluminous crimped locks
Unless you're a huge fan of very big hair, this exaggerated look isn't an everyday kind of style, but it's great for when you want to change things up. Just make sure to hydrate your locks regularly with masks (crimpers can cause heat damage) and add volumizing products to your hair when you style it to pump up your natural volume.
The secret to achieving the perfect 70s blowout is getting the volume just right. Before using your curling iron to create the iconic big thick waves, put some texturizing powder spray in your hair like Savage Panache Wild Stylers 60's Babe by Tecni.ART from L'Oréal Professionnel. Finish the look off with some hairspray to help the style hold all day long.
Crimped pixie cut
Seeing as crimped hair is currently making a comeback, we just had to include another crimped look on our list of favorite voluminous runway hairstyles. This style is extra special because it demonstrates that you don't need to have long hair to be able to add volume in. The best part about crimping short hair is that it's quick and easy – spritz on a light misting of hairspray and voilà, your pixie cut has instant texture and volume.
Flaves are trending this season, and this voluminous version is one of our personal favorite looks. Put some Savage Panache Wild Stylers 60's Babe by Tecni.ART from L'Oréal Professionnel in your hair and then use your curling iron to create the defined flat waves. Tease the back of your head just a bit and then lightly brush the waves out to add even more volume.
