Pastel-colored hair was one of 2015/2016's biggest hair trends, and we're excited to say that this injection of color doesn't look like it's falling off the fashion wagon any time soon. Here's proof from runways from around the world...
German designer Philipp Plein's Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection was like a trip down the rabbit hole with Alice, featuring over-sized jewelry, imaginative prints and this mermaid-like blue-silver hair swept over one shoulder. This bold colored look proves that pastel shades don't have to be sweet and girly, they can show some serious attitude.
Forget pastel tips, Paco Rabanne made us sit up and say "oooohhh" at his S/S show with a variety of different-colored hairstyles, dyed only on the crown of the head. If hair accessories aren't your thing, but you love color and fun looks, this might just be the ideal solution. Think discreet pastels for an everyday look, or full-blown reds, blues and greens for major impact. Remember to take your natural hair color into consideration before coloring.
Why have one pastel shade when you can have two, or three even? The Italian brand Max Mara were playing with their color palettes for the S/S runway show, giving us looks like this delicious multi-toned lob with short bangs, which graduates from blond into baby pink and finishes on a perfectly peachy note. Paired with some bold eye makeup and floral prints, and you've got a look nobody will forget.
There's your proof! Pastel hair colors are getting even more creative for 2017 - will you be joining the trend?
