From the hair styling products that are chosen, to the parts created with combs, each individual finds their own way to personalize popular hairstyles. This season, two men's hairstyles will be trending, the slick look and matte look. Which style do you think you'll draw inspiration from?
The hairstyle: Hair is parted to the side, pushed towards the back of the head, and slicked down with gel for a wet look effect.
The style: This style is very sophisticated, borderline serious, and would look great with a tuxedo for a black-tie event. To make the hairstyle appear more casual or preppy, pair it with a polo shirt.
What the editors say: This hairstyle is great if you like your hair to look impeccable at all times. The gel will hold the style in place, even if the wind picks up and tries to mess it up!
The hairstyle: Like the slick hair look, hair is also parted to the side. However, the overall style is meant to look natural, so locks fall freely to one side of the head. Next, a bit of pomade or texturizing paste like Wild Stylers Depolish by Tecni.Art from L'Oréal Professionnel is applied to them for the matte finish.
The style: This hairstyle looks coiffed but like you didn't put that much work into it. Your clothes should reflect that as well. A V-neck shirt is great to wear, or a button-down shirt, left partially unbuttoned and the sleeves rolled up.
What the editors say: This look requires a good amount of hair to be able to really pull it off, so it's perfect for men with longer locks.
