The disposition and nature of hair differs between men and women. To make men's hair look as thick and full as possible, here are our professional tips.
It's not recommended to wash your hair every day, as this removes nutrients, and can leave hair dry or - the opposite - greasy due to the scalp over-producing oils to compensate. Once every two/three days is usually enough to ensure your hair never looks flat and thin.
Use a shampoo and conditioner that have been specifically designed for thickening men's hair. Using the same brand will have more effective results, as the formulae have been created to complement each other.
The right styling texture
Gels and creams have a tendency to weigh down hair, which is not what you want if you're searching for more volume. Instead, a root-lifting spray and/or a mousse will give you the necessary boost and hold.
Dry it right
Blow-drying your hair upside down will give you natural volume, but keep the temperature down: too much heat can damage the hair fiber, making it weaker and appear thinner. This also goes for the weather: don't let your hair bake and dry out in the sun, have a hat on-hand to protect the hair and your skin.
The expert hand
Ask your stylist for a cut that gives the impression your hair is fuller than it really is. Usually, this is achieved by cutting in some discreet layers.
