How cleansing conditioners will revolutionize your haircare routine

The way we wash our hair has evolved over the years, from simple soap to complex shampoo and conditioning treatments. Progress in haircare is taking a step forward once again, but this time it's also taking a step back: not by adding more ingredients and processes to our haircare routines, but by simplifying the proces

What are cleansing conditioners?

Forget shampoo, cleansing conditioners are your hair's new best friend. Instead of coating fibers with the chemicals found in many shampoos, cleansing conditioners do exactly what their name implies: they gently clean the hair and condition.

How cleansing conditioners fit into your haircare routine

Don't throw out your shampoo completely. While cleansing conditioners can be used instead of shampoo ("no poo") they can also be alternated into your regular haircare routine ("low poo"). Simply apply between 3-5 pumps onto wet hair, massage the scalp, and leave on for up to five minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

Benefits of cleansing conditioners

Far gentler than shampoo, cleansing conditioners respect the hair fiber and scalp, making them ideal for those with sensitive, rebellious, curly or damaged hair. The fibers are not coated with chemical ingredients, but carefully cleansed and nourished, leaving your hair feeling naturally healthy.

What to expect

One aspect of cleansing conditioners which might feel strange to shampoo-users is the lack of foam, or mousse. But, be assured, the hair is being washed just as effectively.
