No one can argue how fun music festivals are, but between all the dancing, the wind, and sometimes even the rain, your locks go through a lot. Add camping to the equation and it can seem like mission impossible to keep your hair looking great. But it doesn't have to be! Follow our tips.
Come up with a strategy
When you plan the outfits you're going to wear during the festival, think about how you're going to style your hair. Gather a few accessories (bobby pins, hair ties, a flower crown...) that you know will rescue you, no matter what the weather throws your way. If it starts to get drizzly, try out one of these rainy day hairstyles!
Updos are your friend
The last thing anyone wants to do while they're at a music festival is spend time getting knots out of their hair. An updo – especially one that will last all weekend long, like a braided crown – helps minimize tangles. Boxer braids, bubble ponytails, and top knots (all trending this season!) are also great styles to wear. If you prefer to leave your hair down, we advise opting for a half-up half-down look, like the hun.
Don't leave home without dry shampoo and sun protection spray
Unless you go home each night during the festival, chances are you won't be able to wash your hair for a few days. A few spritzes of dry shampoo will keep your mane from appearing greasy and will add volume to your hairstyles. Hair oil with SPF is another product you should keep in your bag and apply throughout the weekend. We recommend using L'Oréal Professionnel's Solar Sublime Invisible Conditioning Protective Conditioner Spray, which not only acts as a shield from harmful UV rays, it adds nourishment and shine to your locks.
