During winter, it's tempting to lighten our hair to the extreme in order to add some seasonal beauty to our look. This winter, the two biggest trends are icy blond and silver-gray tones. So close, yet so different, we just can't make up our minds!
Super light, icy blonde is set apart from platinum blond by its softness, slightly closer to white. With fewer golden shades, and a more understated shine, it's the ideal color to stay dazzling in the blueish winter light.
This color seems to give off an aura of innocence. But beware, just like little blond-haired babies, there's more mischievousness behind those locks than you'd think...

Sure, we'll probably never have hair as pretty as Emilia Clarke in her role as Khaleesi. But the advantage of icy blond is that it works just as well on shorter and thinner hair than that of Her Highness on Games of Thrones!
Silver blond hair
Silver-white or metallic gray, gray hair is far from old - it's the fashion world's latest obsession thanks to its icy shine. Just as in-demand as a flawless blond, a subtle bronde or an intense red, this shade is hair colorists and their clients' new favorite shade.
We like to say thank you to the famous blogger Tavi Gevinson for having planted the seeds of this idea in 2010. Now we don't have to panic at the sight of a gray hair, in fact we can celebrate it, because naturally gray or "salt-and-pepper" shades are this year's natural blond.

We particularly love the fifty shades of gray on brunette and chestnut brown hair because, as it grows out, there are some beautiful contrasts created between the light brown and the silver tones. This is a way of wearing a totally unique hair color - perfect for winter!
