Winter hair's BFF: the hat
Wind, rain, snow... whatever winter decides to throw at your hair, a good hat is there to protect it. While the traditional beanie can cause frizz and squash volume, there are other options that can help save your style. A modern version of a peaked cap, for example, has more structure and will sit on the top of your head without crushing your hair.
Bowled over by bows
Bows are our favourite cover-ups for elastics and pins. Simply clip or tie them over the top, and you've hidden the mechanics of your look, and added a new, pretty feature. Think about playing with colour and finish, taking your hair colour and texture into account. A matte velvet bow can contrast beautifully with shiny, highlighted hair for example.
Upcycling: go for gold
If you have a jewellery box full of bracelets and wrist cuffs that you can't wear all at once, think about using them as hair accessories instead. A light metallic cuff, for example, can be repurposed into a graphic ponytail accessory when squeezed gently around the hair. To ensure the cuff doesn't slide off, give the hair maximum volume and texture with the Super Dust powder by Tecni.ART, focusing on the lengths and ends.
